Not too sure what I am, but that really doesn't matter. What does matter is the fact that this afternoon, 2 weeks early, Florence Mary Sage arrived, taking everyone by surprise.
So exciting ... I think Grandpa's quite thrilled, too ... and Supergran (how many of you remember that children's programme in the 1980s?) is beside herself. We're all hoping to meet her sometime tomorrow.

Congratulations Florence is such a pretty name I think when the time comes for me I'll be a nan it just reminds me of my grandma and what my cousins used to call her

We weren't able to visit today but fingers are crossed that we can go tomorrow.
Now we've got used to the name Florence we're quite thrilled - I thought she was going to be Daisy if she turned out to be a girl - and having seen gorgeous piccies she's definitely more of a Florence!
As for Mary, not only is it my middle name and Supergran's, but it's also the other Granny's middle name, too. Good choice!!
Will post a pic when I know I'm allowed. Meanwhile I can tell you she has Rob's hands, so will probably be a farmer and/or a concert pianist, and has lashings of dark hair which we're all guessing will go lighter very soon.

Congratulations! When my children were born, my Mum insisted on using "Nanny" as she said she wasn't old enough to be called "Granny." Now the great grandchildren have arrived, she revels in the name "Granny" now that she is has great grandmother status. "A rose by any other name." SueXX

Congratulations! You must all be so thrilled. Is it to be Gran, Granny or Grandma? When my time comes to be a Grandmother I will be called Mémé, just like my Mother and my Grandmother.
