I've just been to the PO to send off some parcels and thought you might like to see Somerton in all its seasonal splendour.
Just before going out I looked through the window at saw the sunset reflected on the silver birch opposite. Magnificent, isn't it. Even Pauley passed comment!
I just need to pop next door to see Mum and then it'll be a seat in front of the woodburner for me this evening! Hope it's not too cold where you are. It's not very warm here!!

It looks very inviting!
I'll try and get a snap or two of Newton Abbot, when I nip down for late night shopping on Weds...it might look better at night!! ;-)
Wonderful! I wish I could come there for some charity/ antique/ flea/ car boot Christmas shopping!...

Hi, looks really nice, a few lights make such a difference to a dull looking street.
Oh how wonderful, Christmas looks best done simply I think. Nothing beats strings of coloured lights. Beautiful!
It's an age since I popped by to say hello Sue. Hope you and the Dairy House are doing well.

Oh how beautiful! My parents had snow up in Lincoln yesterday morning and were expecting more today. We've got quite a heavy frost here in Cambridge but no snow. (Do you know that is the 3rd time they've had snow in Lincoln this year!!)
It looks all lovely and twinkly, just as it should.
By the wood burner sounds like the place I would like to be this evening!

Very festive! Our local town has its Dickensian evening this week, fingers crossed for dry weather!! Clare x
Somerton looks lovely with its decoratins. I have been there but in the summer, so it is nice to see it in a different season.

Now those are what I call proper Christmas lights. All towns and villages should be decorated like that. Simple and pretty and a little bit old fashioned. Non of these fancy shapes and flashing things. Just strings of pretty light bulbs, either multicoloured or just white! Gosh I'm old fashioned. Starting to sound like my Grandma! Somerton looks very pretty indeed.
